After suffering many years with cancer, Mrs. Chris Boisen passed away at 7 o'clock this morning at her home, 1901 North First street.
Mrs. Boisen had been a resident of Clinton 34 years. She came to Clinton in 1853 from Germany, where she was born at Stedesand, Schleswig, November 30, 1855. She was married to Chris Boisen in June, 1883. Mr. Boisen was employed at the court house for years before he met death there two years ago last November when he fell from an upstairs window.
Two boys and two girls are left to survive their mother. They are Elsie, Christine, John and Peter, all of Clinton. One sister and two brothers also are left. They are Mrs. J. Loehndorf, Ed Carstensen and Sanke Carstensen of this city.
The funeral will be held at the home Sunday afternoon. The Rev. J. H. Lutz of the German Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Boysen who died after a long illness, were held at the home, 1001 North First street, Sunday afternoon at 23 o'clock, the Rev. J. H. Lutz of the German Lutheran church officiating.
Burial was made at Springdale cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: S. Thoms, P. Carstensen, Peter ?umer, C. Loehndorf, L. Benthrup, B. Blass.
From out of the city to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Will Broderick, Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen, DeWitt, John Bush, DeWitt, Freida Bush, DeWitt.
