The deceased was 54 years of age, and was well known in Clinton, where he made his home for many years. His son-in-law, Mr. Iverson, was in Cedar Rapids a day or two ago, and talked with Mr. Beemer, who told him he was to go to work yesterday. The deceased had been making his home in Cedar Rapids with his sister, Mrs. Obermeier. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and at one time held membership in the improved Order of Redmen, but it is not known by his Clinton relatives whether or not he kept up his membership in the latter order.

The funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.
