Mrs. Amanda Howell mother of Mrs. Charles Andrews, 316 Elm street, died this morning at Mercy hospital. She was 63 years old. The body was removed to the home of her daughter where the funeral will be held. The time has not been arranged.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Howell, who died Friday morning at Mercy hospital, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Andrews, 316 Elm street. The Rev. J. S. Leamer of the Evangelical Lutheran church will officiate.

Mrs. Howell was a member of the Clara Barton Circle, Ladies of the Grand Army. She leaves two daughters in Clinton, Mrs. Andrews and Miss Cora Howell.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Eversole of Sterling have come to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Howell was born in Ohio 63 years ago. She came to Iowa and has been a resident of Clinton 23 years. Mr. Howell having preceded her 12 years ago.

Mrs. Amanda Howell, 63 years old, was laid to rest in Springdale cemetery Sunday afternoon after a funeral service preached by the Rev. J. S. Leamer at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Andrews, 316 Elm street.

Mrs. Howell was a member of the Clara Barton Circle, Ladies of the G.A.R. who had charge of the rites and sang a special number.

The pall bearers were members of the Grand Army of the Republic, George Hill, George Drake, Seth Brooks, B. D. Baldwin, George Dalrymple and W. G. Haring.
