Chas. Bigley died this morning at 1 o'clock at his home in East DeWitt. He had been in failing health since he fell about 12 years ago, from which injury he never recovered. He was born near Londonderry, County Donegal, Ireland, Jan. 26, 1828, and came to America when quite young.

He was married in Philadelphia to Nancy McCallum, and moved to DeWitt in the early seventies, working at his trade of boot and shoe making until his accident compelled his retirement. His wife died 25 years ago, and two of the five children, Charles and Daniel, also passed away. Those who survive are Mrs. Catherine Hopkins of Chicago, and Anna and John of DeWitt.

Funeral arrangements are not yet completed.
