Funeral services for George W. Grimes, who died suddenly Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Umberhocker, on a farm near Sterling, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Prairieville church. Rev. E. C. Harris of St. John's Lutheran church at Sterling officiated. Miss Dora Andress of Sterling sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Someday We'll Understand". Interment was made in Prairieville cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Grimes of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Grimes of Clinton attended the funeral. J. L. Grimes and A. D. Grimes are sons of the deceased.
