George Farrell, former county superintendent of schools, has returned home from Cedar Rapids, where he attended the funeral of his aunt, Mrs. Margaret Fitzgerald, formerly of this county, who died Wednesday evening.

Margaret Alice Lawlor was born in Charlotte, January 1, 1854. She was graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart at DeWitt and on October 25, 1881, became the bride of Dr. William Fitzgerald, than a young physician at DeWitt.

Dr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald came to Cedar Rapids in the fall of 1890 and have been residents of this city since that time. Besides the husband, six children survive: Rev. William Fitzgerald, Seattle, Wash. and Alban F. with Company C, Iowa National guard, Mrs. Herbert E. Hanson and the Misses Margaret, Florence and Geraldine of Cedar Rapids. Burial was made in Mt. Cavalry. The pall bearers were Jas. E. Lawler, Andrew Murray, Harry Teahan, Charles Jenson, Frank McDonnell and James Mack.
