The body of Christ Johannsen, who claims Clinton as his home, was found on the Rock Island tracks near Walcott Sunday night by Henry Forbes of Rock Island, who was walking along the track at that place.

Johannsen was a farmer and was working for Henry Schenpolk of Walcott. He spent the Fourth of July with friends in Rock Island. Sunday he started home, and had reached Walcott, but on his way to his work while walking along the tracks, he was struck by a train and killed.

An inquest was held at Walcott and the body taken to Rock Island, where it is believed Johannsen had relatives. He is 35 years old.

Burial will be made at Eau Claire.
