The funeral of Daniel Earhart, who died Monday morning, will be held at the First Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock instead of 2:30 as first announced. The body will lie in state at the church Thursday after 9 o'clock in the morning.

That Mr. Earhart had friends among the young people as well as the older ones is evidenced by the fact that he chose his own pallbearers, as follows: Fred Melitt, F. Howard, B. Rathbun, G. Anderson, J. Henderson and J. A. McCulloh.

Funeral services for Daniel Earhart, aged 94, who died Monday at Agatha hospital after an illness of several weeks, were held at the First Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. C. L. Nye, pastor, preached the sermon, and was assisted by the Rev. J. S. Leamer of the English Lutheran church.

A high tribute was paid the life of Mr. Earhart, who was a life-long worker in the church. He was baptized in early childhood in the church of his parents, who were Lutherans, but when he came to Clinton Mr. Earhart united with the Methodists, to whom he gave his untiring services as long as he lived.

The body was laid to rest in Springdale cemetery, the following friends acting as pallbearers: Frank Howard, Bert Rathbun, John Hendersen, George Andersen and J. A. McCulloh.
