PIONEER RESIDENT CALLED BY DEATH
MRS. MARGARET MAHER ANSWERS FINAL CALL AT DAUGHTER'S HOME SUNDAY MORNING.
FUNERAL ON TUESDAY.
Deceased Was Resident of This City For Over Half Century -- Death Not Unexpected -- Funeral Services at St. Irenaeus Tuesday Morning.Mrs. Margaret Maher, aged 77 years, a resident of this city for over a half century, was called by death on Sunday morning, the end occurring about 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Quinn in North Fourth street and coming over a year's illness. Death came as the result of a complication of diseases in which old age was the principal cause.
The deceased was born in New York city in 1836. In 1854 she came to this city where she has made her home ever since and where she was well known, having a large circle of friends. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Michael Quinn, at whose home the end occurred and by one brother, Frank Maher of Clinton. One sister, Mrs. Mary McDermott, who resides on the Elvira road, is also left to mourn her death.
Funeral services will be held at St. Irenaeus church on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with interment following in Calvary cemetery.From the Clinton Herald, Sept. 10, 1913, Page 8

Aged Resident Taken to Final Resting Place Tuesday Morning -- Funeral Services at St. Irenaeus.Funeral services over the late Mrs. Margaret Maher were held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Irenaeus church in the presence of many of the friends of the deceased. Interment followed in Calvary cemetery.
The following acted as pall-bearers: Pat Malloy, Peter Slowie, A. Foster, James Hand, Chris Folson and M. Foran.
