Toronto, Iowa. March 22-Miss Dora Buse, for ten years a bookkeeper in the Harned & Von Maur department store in Davenport, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Matilda Buse of 1562 Union street, Davenport, Iowa. The deceased had been ailing for the past five years. She was born in Toronto, Iowa, February 9th, 1883, and went to Davenport 15 years ago. She was a trusted employe at the Harned & Von Maur store until illness compelled her to give up her position five years ago. The remains were brought here for burial in the family lot Thursday morning. Services were conducted by Rev. Vollmar of Last Nation who preaches a fine sermon. The many floral tributes showed the high esteem in which Miss Buse was held by her friends. A large concourse of old friends from here turned out to pay a last tribute of respect to the departed. She leaves to mourn her a mother, Mrs. Matilda Buse; three sisters, Tena, Effie and Harriet, and six brothers, William, Fred, John, Louis, Rudolph and Ernest, and a host of friends. Toronto friends extend sympathy to the mother, sisters and brothers in their hour of bereavement. Her six brothers acted as pallbearers and six friends here an honorary pallbearers.
