Mrs. Hannah Milan, one of the oldest residents of this city, peacefully passed away Sunday morning at 12:15 o'clock after an illness of some five months during which time she was bedfast. Death resulted from the infirmities of old age, Mrs. Milan having passed her 96th birthday, March 25.

Mrs. Milan was born in Lyansville, Ind. March 25, 1820 and later went to Middletown, Ohio, where she was married in 1839, and after living at that place for some time she and her husband moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and from there to Dubuque, Iowa, coming to this city about the year 1855, where she has since resided, her husband having passed away about 26 years ago.

Mrs. Milan is the last member of her own family and out of a family of eleven children is survived by four namely: Mary, Edward, James and Nicholas, all of this city. She was the possessor of a very good disposition and was a friend to every one.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Irenaeus church with interment in Calvary cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Hannah Milan was held at 9 o'clock this morning from St. Irenaeus church, with burial in Calvary cemetery. The pallbearers were Andrew Dietz, Chas. McAllister, Patrick Ray, Thomas Cawley, Charles Kennedy and William Cawley.
