AGED RESIDENT DROPS DEAD
HENRY C. WARNICK DROPS DEAD IN YARD AT HOME IN NORTH FOURTH STREET.
BURIAL SATURDAY
Deceased Had Been a Resident of Iowa for Forty Years -- Ten Years in This City -- Had Been in Feeble Condition for Some Time -- Served as Drummer Boy in Mexican War.

Henry C. Warnick dropped dead at his home, 621 North Fourth street, at 8 o'clock Thursday morning. Although Mr. Warnick had been in a feeble condition for some time he was about as usual in the morning and had gone out to feed the chickens as was his custome each morning. He was just about to re-enter the house when he fell at the steps and instantly succumbed. He was carried into the house and medical aid was summoned but to no avail.
The deceased was born in West Point, Ky., January 6, 1829, and was united in marriage to Miss Mary Howard at Clinton, Ill., in 1858. A few years later they moved to Boone, Iowa, thence to this city, where they resided ever since.
Mr. Warnick was 84 years old at the time of his death and had served as a drummer boy in the Mexican war.
The following are left to mourn his death: his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Anderson of Boone, Mrs. Edith Thompson of Chicago and Mrs. Nellie Schroeder at home.
The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon from the residence at 2 o'clock, Rev. F. P. Fisher will officate.

Many Pay Last Respects to the Late Henry Warnick Who Passed Away Last Thursday.
The funeral of the late Henry Warnick took place at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the family residence, 621 North Fourth street. Rev. Fred P. Fisher of the Methodist church had charge of the services. Interment took place in Oakland cemetery.
