12 February 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Patrick O'Brien, an old resident of this city and long time employe of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Company, passed away in Chicago Friday afternoon. The remains will be brought to Clinton tomorrow, reaching here at 2:15 p.m. Sunday. They will be taken to the home of Martin Gallagher, 237 Thirteenth avenue.

The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Monday morning, with interment in St. Mary's cemetery.

The deceased was a conductor on the Northwestern for many years, running between this city and Chicago. At the time of his death he was in the employ of the Illinois Central railroad in Chicago. The deceased is survived by three sisters Sarah, Mary and Kitty of Chicago, and a brother John of Belvidere, Ill. He had many friends in Clinton.
