Mrs. Martin August Lorenzen passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cecelia Lorenzen, 708 Park Place, after an illness of five years' duration. For that length of time the aged Clinton woman had been deprived of her speech. She was taken critically ill three weeks ago.

Mrs. Lorenzen was born in Schleswig, Germany, 85 years ago, and on May 25, 1852, was united in marriage with Mr. Lorenzen the aged husband who survives her, with one daughter, Mrs. Lorenzen, a son, Peter Lorenzen, having passed away eight years ago. The family came to America in 1871.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Park Place home, Rev. A. Lutz of the German Lutheran church officiating. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
