27 January 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Lost Nation, Ia., Jan 27.--James B. Wolfe died this morning at 4 o'clock. Deceased was about 73 years old. He lived on a farm southeast of town, and was president of the Lost Nation Savings Bank. The cause of his death was heart trouble, from which he has been ill most of the winter.

Surviving the deceased are his wife and seven children: J. O. C. Wolfe and Jerry Wolfe of Grand Mound, James Wolfe, Miss Nora Wolfe, Mrs. Frank Goodall of Toronto, Walter Wolfe and Mrs. Isadora Ryan of Welton; four brothers, Judge P. H. Wolfe of Clinton; R. B. Wolfe of DeWitt, John B. Wolfe of Melrose and Lawrence Wolfe of Lost Nation; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Langan and Mrs. Kate Fitzgerald of Clinton and a sister in the convent.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart church.

Funeral services for the late James Wolfe were held at the Catholic church in Toronto this morning. Interment was made in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery. P. B. Wolfe and daughter, Miss Mary Zita and Mrs. Kate Fitgerald and daughter, Miss Margaret of this city, attended the services.

31 January 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Funeral services for the late James Wolfe were held in Toronto, Iowa, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Catholic church in that city. A solemn high requiem mass was held. Fathers Small and McNamara officiating.

Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

P. B. Wolfe and daughter, Miss Mary, and Mrs. Kate Fitzgerald and daughter, Miss Margaret attended the services.
