A telegram received here yesterday afternoon announced the death of A. L. Carson secretary of the Fish Brothers Manufacturing Company of this city. Mr. Carson had been in poor health for about a year and last fall went to Chicago in the hope his health would improve. Since then he had been confined to his bed most of the time and grew gradually weaker and died yesterday morning at 1 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Moline for interment, the former home of deceased. Mr. Carson came to Clinton from Moline and became a stockholder in and assumed the duties of secretary of the Fish Brothers Manufacturing company.
Mr. Carson was well known through this section of the country and had a host of friends. By his death the company loses an able official and the city an ?? citizen.

The funeral over the remains of the late A. L. Carson, late secretary of the Fish Brothers Manufacturing company will be held at Moline, Ill., Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
