The funeral services over the remains of the late L. H. Olney will be held at the residence, 628 Eighth avenue at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon Rev. W. F. Pitner of the First M. E. church, of which the deceased was a member, will have charge. The remains will be laid to rest in Springdale cemetery.
Levi H. Olney was a native of New York state and was 78 years of age on his last birthday. He came to this city during the fifties and had since made his home here. He was a veteran of the civil war and was known and respected by a large number of friends.
Mrs. L. N. Turner, daughter of the deceased of Wall Lake, Ia., arrived Monday morning to attend the obsequies.

L. H. Olney died at his home on Eighth avenue at about 11 o'clock Saturday night after an illness from typhoid pneumonia and complicated disorders. He is survived by his widow and eleven children. They are George W., Mrs. O. P. Ankeny, Mrs. L. E. Turner of Wall Lake, Ia., Raymond, Herbert who is now in the south, Clayton H., Denton V., Mrs. W. E. Hemmingway, Clara who resides at home, Willis D. and Camilla who resides at home. The deceased was an old time resident of the city and was nearly 80 years of age. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
