The death of Owen Melvin, an aged resident of this city, occured at 7:30 o'clock Monday morning at his residence at 511 Eighteenth avenue, death resulting from blood poisoning which was caused from an ulcerated tooth. The deceased was born in Ireland seventy-one years ago and came to this city from Delaware City, Del., thirty-seven years ago. He is survived by his widow and son M. J. Melvin. His grandson and granddaughter, Laurence and Helen Rimmer, reside at the late home.
The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning.
