Camanche, April 6 -- Special to the AGE -- Arthur Scott, of Princeton, fell from the steamer Monarch, about two miles above this city, Friday night, as it was going north, after a clam tow. He was going to the Galena beds to engage in clamming and was about 16 years of age. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Scott of Princeton.
The body was recovered this morning near where he went overboard, by Walter's island, and an inquest held resulted in the verdict of accidental drowning.
