Brakeman Jesse French, of the Northwestern, is in deep sorrow today. Last October, at the Methodist parsonage here he married Miss Dora Hall of Mt. Carroll, and the future looked bright indeed for the young couple. Taking a leave of absence he went into North Dakotah, at Jamestown, to railroad, where the opportunity to advance is more rapid, his bride accompanying him. But quick consumption came upon her and she was called away last Saturday. Jesse came back to her old home at Mt. Carroll with the loved remains and laid them at rest there Wednesday, then came on to Clinton Thursday, where he will remain with old friends, who extend to him their heartfelt sympathy in his affliction.
