GEO. HOBART
The Demise of a Gifted Young Man.
The sorring friends of Geo. Hobart, and they are legion in Clinton, where he had lived since childhood, mourn yet sincerely with the grief stricken family, as they did when the AGE announced his death Sunday morning. It was with pain and much suffering he passed the last four months of his life on earth, surrounded by all the attention loving hearts could suggest, and given all the treatment known to the medical fraternity, and yet his life could not be saved, he, passing away at 10:45 Saturday evening, at the home of his parents, on Fifth avenue, from paralysis of the heart, following the nervous convultions of the months past.
He was born in Clinton May 14, 1867. Always popular, bright, genial, talented, when yet young he entered the employ of the City National bank, and for a long time had been in charge of the books, acting also as assistant cashier. Previous to entering the bank he had been ticket agent at the Northwestern here, gaining that position from messenger boy for the offices of the company.
He was a member of the DeMolay Consistory, Scottish Rite Masons, of the Shriners, of the Wapsie Club and of the Elks.
His was a life of great promise, one full of pleasure to his friends, and yet it closes in the morning of life.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at the residence of his parents, 423 Fifth avenue, Rev. F. M. Carson, of the Presbyterian church will conduct the services, after which the remains will be taken to Springdale for interment.
