FOUND DEAD
JOHN KRAMER, A STRANGER, DIES LAST NIGHT
In the Eagle Hotel Alone in His Room - Registered from Omaha.
Sunday evening a stranger entered John Reynold's eagle hotel, corner of Seventh avenue and Second street and registered as John Kramer. He hesitated a moment, before writing the address, then said, "well, I might as well write it 'Omaha' as any place," and so registerd. Producing a quarter, all he had, he paid for his lodging and was given a room. he was called Monday, and found to be ailing, when a physician is said to have been called who visited him and went away with the remark that there was nothing the matter with him, or something to that effect. About 6 p.m. some tea was taken up to him and he was not visited again until 9:15 last night, when he was found dead in bed.
Mayor Hughes and Chief Worrell were called and learned from Mrs. Reynolds that the man's home was Ohio. He told her that he was trying to work his way there and had walked from Omaha.
The coroner was notified and the body removed to Sutton & Son's undertaking establishment.

John Kramer's Death.
The coroner examined into the cause of the death of John Kramer, the man who died at the Eagle House Monday night, but nothing new or anything of interest was developed and he thought it not worth while holding an investigation or inquest, so the body was left in the hands of the undertaker, to be buried at the county's expense in Potter's field. The only thing new in the case was that he told Mrs. Reynolds Monday when she took the tea to him, that he was employed in Dubuque as a railroad hand about two years ago, and owing to some trouble with his head, which was caused by an accident in a railroad wreck, he had to give up his job. He also told her that when he was hurt the company offered him $2000 for his injury and he accepted the job.
