Gertie Akker, 68, of 13306 Lincoln Road, died Sunday, April 1, 2001 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer Reformed church, Morrison, preceded by a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Akker worked 10 years at Clinton Garment co. and sold Avon Products.
Gertie VanderPloeg was born July 26, 1932, in The Netherlands. She married Wayne Akker in 1955 in Morrison.
A memorial fund has been established.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; daughters, Penny Dyke, Morrison, and Melody Akker, Clinton; sons, Gerry and Steven, both of Morrison; and nine grandchildren.
