Services for Eugene R. King, 68, will be 11:30 am Saturday at Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-9 pm today.
He died Wednesday at Samaritan North Hospital, Clinton.
He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Co., Clinton, for 43 years, retiring in 1984. He was a draftsman working in the engineering department.
Mr. King married Shirley Mae Vincent in 1943 in Clinton. He married Eunice Young in 1983 in Tarrant County, Texas.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the 6th engineers. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clinton; AMVETS, Clinton; Legion of Moose 137, Davenport; past secretary of Loyal Order of the Moose 363, Clinton; and Fulton Country Club.
Memorials may be made to Heart Association, Lung Association or the Diabetes Association.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen E., Clinton, a grandson; stepdaughters, Judith (Mrs. Robert) Story, Middleton, Wis.; and Cheryl (Mrs. Thomas) Berry, Davenport; a stepson, Ted Young Jr., New York city; three step-grandchildren; his mother, Alvina King, Clinton; and a brother, Donald J., Clinton.
