Lucille J. Lucy Harris, age 75 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Nate and Elizabeth Holland, Michelle Harris, Dane Runge, Ryan Harris and Jason Bolton. Honorary casket bearers are Gabriel Harris and Chisum and Brett Bolton.

Lucy was born in Clinton on March 24, 1942, the daughter of Lucius and Matilda Byers. She graduated from Clinton High School. Lucy married Charles P. Harris on December 17, 1959 in Clinton. Charles passed away on May 16, 2008. She had been employed at the Clinton Garment Factory, K-Mart, and later with Swiss Colony and Kwik Star. Lucy loved her family and attending all her grandchildrens events. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and the slot machines.

Lucy is survived by five children, Susan (Johnny) Seed of Marshalltown, IA, Joan Joni (Rex) Bolton of Mesa, AZ, Charles (Galena) Harris of Bettendorf, Steve (Carrie George) Harris of Clinton and Patrick (Trischa) Harris of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, Eric, Chisum, Brett, Elizabeth, Jessica, Michelle, Alison, Ryan, Regan and Gabriel and 9 great grandchildren, Conner, Eric, Tiana, Kaelynn, Charleigh, Olivia, Hayden, Jaxson and Chisum, Jr, and her dog Lulu. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter in infancy and her siblings.
