Wynne Ann Ehrhart age 82 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday May 2, 2017 at The Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 PM Saturday May 6th at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be held 4 7 PM Friday May 5th at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Alan Laufenberg, Jerry Michelsen, Dan Eisma, Scott Morgan, Kelly Adkins, and Jim Alderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Springer. Wynne was born on Jan. 28, 1935 in Clinton, the daughter of William and Winifred (Burke) McGonegle. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1952. She received her BA Degree in Education from Marycrest University. She married Jim Ehrhart on June 26, 1954 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Clinton. Wynne was a Remedial Reading Teacher for Title I students in the Clinton Community Schools for 21 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She was a volunteer with Clinton Mobile Meals. She tutored students in the summer. She later worked as a CNA at Mercy Hospital for over 16 years. Wynne loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a published poet. She especially enjoyed her cats.
Wynne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim Ehrhart of Clinton; six children, Robin (Alan Laufenberg of Clinton, Julie (Jerry) Michelsen of Sabula, Michael (Cleta) Ehrhart of Nashville, TN, Rita (Dan) Eisma of Omaha, NE, Nancy (Scott) Morgan of Pewaukee, WI, and Mary (Kelly) Adkins of Troy, MO; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia (Hank) VanVeen; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, and two aunts.
