Virginia A. Livingston, age 89, of Lanark, IL, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at The Alverno in Clinton, IA.
Virginia was born October 20, 1927, in Hammond, Kansas the daughter of Alva and Gladys (Houndshell) Lilly. She married Roy Livingston on September 28, 1948 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1988. She was a homemaker and also worked in a shoe factory for a short time. Virginia enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a member of the Red Hats. She loved watching western movies, dancing to music and going on road trips.
Survivors include four daughters, Ruth (Mark) Stoecker of Fulton, IL, Ann Burkitt of Lanark, IL, Carolyn Livingston of Marshfield, MO and Shirley Mobley of Marshfield, MO; three sons, Ernie (Joyce) Lilly of Fulton, IL, Jack Livingston of Palestine, IL, and Randy Livingston of Advance, MO; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and her special friend, Dean Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Danny Livingston; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 9 - 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Avenue, Fulton. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Laura Wessels of the Second Reformed Church in Fulton officiating. Burial will be at Lyndon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
