WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich.
— Funeral services for Patrick M. McDevitt, 34, a resident of West Bloomfield, and a former resident of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Halligan-McCabeDeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with a prayer 
service at 6:30 p.m.
Patrick died Friday April 14, 2000, in Miami Beach, Fla., following an accident.

Patrick Michael McDevitt was born May 3, 1965, in Davenport, the son of Patrick Joseph and Carol Ann (Lofgren) McDevitt. He married Lisa Stein on Nov. 19, 1990, in Jamestown. Pat graduated from Assumption High School Class of 1983, he received his bachelor’s of art degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1988. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, University of Iowa, and had been active in Junior Achievement. He was also helping coach his son’s T-ball league. Patrick joined Krafts Foods, Farmington Hills, in 1988, and was currently the Detroit Custom marketing manager.

Family was everything to Pat, especially his wife and children who were the light of his life. He was a very dedicated and hard worker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patrick M. McDevitt Scholarship Fund to be established at the University of Iowa, or to a charity of choice.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Stein McDevitt, West Bloomfield; a daughter, Kate; a son, Jack; his parents, Patrick J. and Carol A. McDevitt, Davenport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Fran McDevitt, and Raymond and Kelly McDevitt, Davenport; a sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Drew Davis, Coralville, Iowa; his grandfather, Willard J. Lofgren, Ellenton, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
