Cleora J. Adams, age 89, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Clinton, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steve and Danniel Kooi, Drew Reese, Tyler Brown, Ken Dann and Charly Bigwood.

Cleora was born on the family farm near Miles, Iowa on November 15, 1927, the daughter of Clarence and Melinda (Roeh) Petersen. She graduated from Miles High School. Cleora married Harold Adams on January 31, 1953 in Clinton. Harold passed away on June 17, 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her and Harold enjoyed traveling and spending time in Arizona.

Cleora is survived by her daughter, Lynne Reese of Machesney Park, IL; two grandchildren, Michele (Justin) Weide of Phoenix, AZ and Drew (Nikki Johnson) Reese of Rockford; a sister, Myrna (Ken) Dann of Camanche and several nieces and nephews.
