Kathleen M. "Kay" (Smith) Clouse age 88 of Clinton, passed away Saturday Feb. 18, 2017 at the Mercy Living Center North. Mass will be held 10:30 AM Friday Feb. 24th at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be held Thursday 4-7 PM at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons and nephews. Kay was born on May 16, 1928 in Clinton, the daughter of Thomas and Angeline (Tigges) Leonard. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1946.
She had married Jack Smith in 1952 in Clinton, and later married Lloyd Clouse in 1974 in Clinton, he died in 2010. Kay worked at ALCOA as an Electrical Secretary for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Kay is survived by her son, Thomas (Deb) Smith of Clinton; two grandchildren, Becky (Jason) Morgan and Craig (Nicol) Smith; four great grandsons, Seth, Sam, Nolan, and Mason; two sisters, Bernice Schluns and Marion Spooner both of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister.
