William Draycott of Clinton died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital following a three years illness. He had been seriously ill for only two weeks before his death, however. The body reposes in the Snell funeral home where services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday. Wapsie aerie, 705, F. O. E. will form an escort from the funeral home to Springdale cemetery where burial will be. The Eagle ritual will be conducted at the grave.

William Draycott was born April 10, 1868, in Manchester, England. He came to America May 22, 1899. He and Louise Myer were married in Chicago. She died May 20, 1921. His marriage to Mrs. Mattie Austin took place Dec. 23, 1926, in Clinton.

He is survived by his wife of Clinton, one step-son, Ernest R. Murray and one step-grandson, Ernest Murray, Jr., both of Albert Lea, Minn.

Preceding him in death were his parents and several brothers and sisters, who died in England.
