Masako "Mickey" Marriner, 83, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Alverno, Clinton. Services will be held at 4:00PM Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until the service hour Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery, Clinton.

Mickey was born November 18, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of Uzen and Sumyko (Nyga) Ueda. She married Frank Marriner in Tokyo on February 14, 1957, he died April 3, 1995. She and Frank moved to the U.S. February 27, 1958. She was very proud of receiving her U.S. Citizenship.

Mickey was a homemaker and also worked at the Clinton Garment Factory for eight years.

Her family would like to send a special thank you to her "Alverno" family for their care and support, and to her lifelong friends, Shizuko Obermiller and Nancy Stone for their continued love and support after her illness.

She is survived by her special nieces, Billie (Jim) Tack; Jessie (Thomas) Blanchard and Angela (Tabbitha) Holle all of Clinton and many loving nieces & nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents a sister and a brother.

Memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.
