Lois Marie Dierks, 99, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Bickford Cottage, Clinton. Services will be held at 11:30AM Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the service hour Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Lois was born October 9, 1917 in Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of Louis J. and Frieda L. (Meyer) Sander. She married Frank Milota, Jr. August 14, 1938 in Lowden, Iowa; he died February 11, 1945. She later married Albert Dierks March 23, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa; he died January 10, 1993.

She was employed as a cook at the Community Care Facility in Charlotte for 12 years, she also provided home care.

Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton and a former member of the Charlotte Immanuel Lutheran Church where she took a lot of pride in singing in the choir; she was also a member of the Charlotte American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Ann L. (Roy) Eubanks of Fairfield, IA; Sandra (Richard) Foster of Mendota, IL; Robert (Marlene) Milota of Davenport, IA; Joe L. (Sandy) Milota of Spring Valley, IL; Al J. (Pam) Dierks of Clinton, IA and Timothy A. Dierks of Spring Valley, IL; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jon Milota, two brothers and a great-granddaughter.
