Bytha “Betty” E. Norris, 94 of Davenport, formerly of Camanche went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be James Norris, Ryan Norris, Bob Dotson, Ely Norris, Shawn O’Neill, and Ian O’Neill. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home.

Bytha Elizabeth Bauldree was born August 7, 1922 in Pleasant Hills, Louisiana, the daughter of Joseph and Lozier (Davis) Bauldree. She married Truxton Norris on March 26, 1946 in Union County, Arkansas; he preceded her in death in 1991.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed being outdoors. She loved fishing, hunting and camping. She continued to hunt and fish well into her 80’s. She also was a very competitive lady playing different games with her family, shooting pool, and bowling. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking.

She is survived by one son: James Norris of Davenport; three grandchildren: Ryan (Zoe) Norris of Chesapeake, Virginia, Tricia (Shawn) O’Neill of Camanche, Iowa and Jason Norris of Des Moines, Iowa; six great-grandchildren: Aleena, Livia, Colten, Ely, Josie, and Ian; and one nephew: Bob Dotson of Traverse City, Michigan. She is sadly missed by two ladies Pam and Karen, with whom she shared a very special relationship.

In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Nickie Dale Norris who passed away in 1977, two brothers and three sisters.
