Robert “Ozzie” P. Asmussen, 53, of Clinton passed away, Monday, September 12, 2016 at his home – Clinton.

A celebration is being planned to honor Ozzie’s life. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation.

Robert Peter Asmussen was born July 28, 1963 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Marian Asmussen. He was a 1981 graduate of Preston High School. He married Kimberlee Barber on May 29, 1993 in Osage Beach, Missouri.

He worked at Westrock for 32 years. He rode a Honda Goldwing, motorcycle rides were his favorite pass time. He loved spending time with his girls doing outdoors stuff like biking, going to the park, and even shopping. Time spent with his family is what he treasured the most.

Ozzie is survived by his wife Kim of Clinton; two daughters: Brooke and Carsen Asmussen of Clinton; his mother Marian McMullen of Preston; three siblings: Don “DJ” (Deb) DuBois of North Liberty, Iowa, Christine (Lee) Christof of Clinton, Iowa; and Jackie (Mike Marzofka) DuBois of Miles, Iowa; and many more nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be made to the family, a college fund is being established for his girls.
