William "Bill" E. Hudson
May 13, 1948 - August 23, 2016

William E. Hudson, 68, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, formerly of Clinton passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his home.

Memorial Service will be 11:30 am, Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church – Elvira. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

William E. Hudson was born May 13, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of William Raymond and Darlene Emma (Vogt) Hudson. He was a 1966 graduate of Camanche High School and attended Wisconsin State University in Plattville, Wisconsin. He married LaVonne Mommsen on August 17, 1968 in Andover, Iowa.

Bill was a member of Cherokee Village Lutheran Church, Cherokee Village, Arkansas, serving as president of the church council, and he was a past treasurer of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church.
He loved golfing, fishing, and playing cards and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He especially enjoyed time spent playing with his grandchildren.

Bill had worked as a purchasing manager and buyer for DuPont, International Paper, PMX, and ADM. He was past president of IMC.

He is survived by his wife, LaVonne; four children: Jeffrey Hudson of Tipton, Iowa, Kelly (Shane) Cooney of Clear Lake, Iowa, Trisha (Joshua) Hallerberg of Arvada, Colorado, and Trinda (Edward Stanford) Nelson of Ripon, California; one sister: Phyllis (Michael) Roth; one brother: Ronald Hudson; six grandchildren: Wil and Riley Cooney, Emma and Riya Hallerberg, and Keegan and Kade Nelson; two step grandchildren: Paul and Drew Stanford; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Hudson.

Memorial may be made to the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church.
