Lorraine V. Baker, 79, of Clinton, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Mercy North, Clinton. Services will be held 10:30AM, Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7PM, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lance White, Matt Wright, Ryne Schubert, Kenny Cornwell, Shawn Eickert and Bob Krajnovich. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Lorraine was born August 8, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Violet (Bennett) Sparlin, Sr. She was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School. Lorraine married Harlan Baker October 27, 1957 in Clinton.

Lorraine was a homemaker and had been an Avon Lady for more than 40 years.

Lorraine’s great-grandson Aiden was the newest light of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Harlan of Clinton; daughters, Susie (Keith) Schubert and Teresa (Robert) Wright both of Clinton; grandchildren, Rebecca (Lance) White, Ryne Schubert and Matthew (Dawn) Wright; her great-grandson, Aiden White; her sister, Joyce (Ron) Cornwell of Blue Grass, IA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Sparlin, II.
