February 15, 1920 - August 9, 2016

Mary Jane E. Bisson, 96, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Alverno.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10:00am to noon at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. A prayer will conclude the visitation. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at a later date.

Mary Jane Elizabeth Pringle was born on February 15, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of George and Adeline (Miles) Pringle. She was a 1937 graduate of Lyons High School. She married Joseph Robinson on October 21, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa; he later died on August 16, 1975. She later married Larry Bisson on February 19, 1979 in Clinton; he later died on February 24, 1998.

Mary Jane was a respiratory therapist at Mercy Hospital from 1950’s until retiring in 1980. She also worked at the Ben Franklin Store with her husband for 30 plus years. She was an avid bowler and knitter. She was a past member of the Odeon and enjoyed attending XYZ at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a Red Hat lady.

Mary Jane is survived by her son: Al (Pat) Robinson of Clinton, Iowa; three daughters: Barbara Ann Fulton of Frazier Park, California, Virginia “Ginny” Rice of Fresno, California, and Ann Elizabeth Bennett of Davenport, Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; three sisters: Adeline “Peggy” Lawrence of Mobile, Alabama, June (Lee) Sullens of Clinton, and Jean Bisson of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her daughter: Mary Jo Kinkaid.
