Lois J. Stormes, 92, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at The Alverno – Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery – DeWitt. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Langrehr, Phillip Langrehr, Kyle Gorsh, Tim Hunter, Ryan Larkin, Michael McQuistion, Jim Baker, Aaron McQuistion, and Eddie Luckritz. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Lois Jeanette Prehn was born June 17, 1923 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Hans and Margaret (Clement) Prehn. She was a 1941 graduate of Welton High School. She married Paul Stormes on May 18, 1946 in Clinton; he preceded her in death on December 25, 1996.

Lois worked as a caregiver at Sarah Harding for 33 years. She also worked at the Swift Company in Clinton for many years.

Lois was an avid Cubs fan. She enjoyed collecting Christmas houses for her village, fishing trips, and time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters: Marsha (Dennis) Langrehr of Camanche, Janet (Tom) Sager of Clinton, and Paula (John) Luckritz of Clinton; 11 grandchildren: Andrew (Tania) Langrehr, Phillip Langrehr, Rebecca (Kyle) Gorsh, Stacey (Tim) Hunter, Kristy (Ryan) Larkin, Michael (Karen) McQuistion, Aaron (Dawn) McQuistion, Jennifer Wilson, Talia Voss, Eddie Luckritz, and Jim Baker; a grand daughter-in-law: Marla McQuistion; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; one sister: Ruth Walcott of West Des Moines, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Paul, Lois was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Patricia Portz; two grandsons: Paul Baker and Kenneth McQuistion; two brothers; and two sisters.
