Harriet Helen Dellit was born December 8, 1921, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Weber) Dellit. Her beloved twin brother, Harold, led her into the world. She attended the public schools in Clinton and graduated from Clinton Senior High School in 1940.

Harriet married George "Dutch" Rajcevich in Clinton on December 7, 1941. The couple settled and raised three children in Clinton following the war. Once her children were in school, Harriet worked at Nielsen's for 15 years. Harriet and Dutch had been married 67 years when he passed away in 2008.

She was an active and energetic member of Trinity United Methodist Church and held several positions in the UMW. She was a talented craftswoman and made many of the decorative banners and cloths for the church and was a driving force in their annual Christmas Craft Bazaars. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf, card parties with her friends and Saturday dinners with her family. She was generous with both her time and her heart.

Harriet was a well-organized, competitive and spunky spitfire; full of fun and energy. Even in her last days, it was hard to keep her still.
