Miss Ruth Stumbaugh, 72, 2105 Pershing Blvd., died at 9:35 a.m. Friday in the DeWitt community home where she had been a patient for 12 days. The body was taken to the Shadduck funeral home Monday, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jerry B. Wolcott, Lyons Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Miss Stumbaugh was born in Clinton, Feb. 20, 1885, the daughter of the late Samuel and Adelaide Hand Stumbaugh. Her early life was spent in Clinton, until she moved with her family to Laurel, Miss. She returned to Clinton in 1915 and was employed by Western Union until her retirement in 1950.

She was a member of the Lyons Methodist church, a past president of the Wa-TanYe, past noble grand of Olive rand Rebekah Lodge No 369, member of Lyons chaper No. 13 O.E.S. and the Royal Neighbors society.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Herbert (Lois) Bentrup, Clinton and three brothers, Robert and Alfred of Clinton, and H. LeRoy, Columbia, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
