The Reverend Bennie Jackson, 90, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home, and was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by our Lord and Savior on February 4, 2016. Cremation rites have been accorded with a Memorial service taking place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr. Clinton, IA).
Rev. Bennie was born September 15, 1925 in Tribbitt, Mississippi, the son of Andrew and Lucille (Flowers) Jackson. Bennie married Membry Farchild on September 25, 1943 in Mississippi, they had fourteen children together; they would later divorce. Bennie was united in marriage to Ernestine Walkens in September 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, they had two children.

He worked at several factories as a supervisor for a good portion of his life, however his true calling was preaching the Word of God. Early on in his life he became a Deacon in the Baptist Church and in 1969 became a fully ordained Minister.
Rev. Bennie loved reading his Bible daily and preaching the Word of God - his passion was saving souls. When time allowed, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and fixing things.
Rev. Bennie is survived by four daughters - Tanya, Erica, Lizzie, Membry; ten sons - Bennie Jr., Joseph, Johnie, Anderson, Ronnie, Thomas, Leroy, Andre, Sam, Enoch; with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren - spanning over five generations; with several brothers and sisters.
Preceding Bennie in death were his parents, his wife Ernestine, two sons, one daughter; several brothers and sisters.
Memorials made can be directed to the wishes of the family.
