Funeral services for Edward Bachus, 88, Wheatland, were held Sept. 20, 1988 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with burial in Inland cemetery at Bennett.

Mr. Bachus died Sept. 18 at DeWitt Community hospital.

He married Melinda Petersen in 1925 in Davenport and he was a retired farmer from the Wheatland area.

Mr. Bachus is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Kenneth and Robert, both of Wheatland; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a brother, Erwin, Bennett.
