Doris J. Determan age 83 of Clinton passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her sons. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Doris was born in Maquoketa on November 28, 1932, the daughter of Reese and Augusta (Mann) Taylor. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1951. Doris married Gerald Determan on October 18, 1952 at St. Irenaeus Church in Clinton. She had been employed at Northwestern Bell and later at P.F.C. Doris was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Ladies of the Moose. She enjoyed her family, dancing, camping and traveling.

Doris is survived by her husband, Gerald; seven sons; Gary (Mary) Determan, Ken (Lynn) Determan, Kevin (Deena) Determan, Pat (Ellen) Determan, Dennis (Beth) Determan and Tim (Shari) Determan all of Clinton and Mike (Taryn) Determan of Camanche; a daughter-in-law, Deb Determan of Camanche; 27 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Phillip in 2010; a great grandson, Liam; two sisters, Dolly and Garnet and three brothers, Lester, Don and Phil.
