Johnny McGee Jr., 79, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center - North on December 16, 2015. Cremation rites were accorded with a memorial service taking place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Amvets Post 28.
Johnny was born December 7, 1936 in Fayette, Mississippi the son of James Sr. and Mary (James) McGee. Johnny served his country in the U.S. Army.
For many years Johnny was a foreman at Wesco and also drove a truck. Johnny loved playing games of chance, however his main focus was always on his family whom he loved dearly.
Johnny is survived by three daughters - Mary Ann McGee of Clinton, IA, Sherry McGee of Chicago, IL, Erica McGee of Davenport, IA; three sons - Alfred (Sheryle) Cooper of Baton Rouge, LA, David (Kris) McGee of Clinton, IA, Ray McGee of Chicago, IL; fourteen grandchildren - of which he was especially close to Tyler, Shakeila and Devonte, as well as, three great grandchildren with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Wanda McGee, several brothers and sisters.
Memorials made can be directed to the wishes of the family.
