David Tiesman, 95, of Clinton passed away, Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Eagle Point Nursing Home – Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Following the burial a luncheon will be at the Eagles Club at 1:00pm. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Tiesman, Zac Tiesman, Marvin Kosin, Mitch Tiesman, Scott Sorensen, and Josh Tiesman. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Becky Tiesman, Michelle Jesus, Erin Tiesman, Sara Sorensen, Jessie Determan, Morgan Tiesman, an Andraya Nelson.

David Tiesman was born on January 13, 1920 in Fulton, Illinois the son of John and Gertrude (Norman) Tiesman. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942-1945. He was a medic and served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He married Geneva Niles in 1945 they later divorced. He later married Alice Cramer, she died in 1993.

David made pallets for a living. He was a member of the Clinton Eagles Club, enjoyed listening to music, watching baseball and Westerns, was an avid Chicago Bears fan, loved his dog Piper and was an impressive yodeler.

David is survived by his children: Jerry (Diane) Tiesman of Clinton, Delbert (Linda) Tiesman of Clinton, Charm Kosin of Fulton, Richard Tiesman of Clinton, Susan Tiesman of Clinton and Janet (Brian) Yelm of Kewanee, Illinois, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 8 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, eight brothers, and one sister.

Memorials can be made to the Eagles Club.
