Raymond F. Wallace, 80, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, October 2, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the mass time Tuesday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Raymond Frank Wallace was born on January 12, 1935 in Fennimore, Wisconsin, the son of William and Isabel (Christlo) Wallace. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1954-1958. He married Dorothy Towers on May 9, 1959 in New York City.
Ray was a postal carrier in Clinton for 28 ˝ years retiring in 1990. He later worked for Eastman House Furniture and currently at the Clinton Hy-Vee.
Ray was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Clinton Moose Lodge.
Ray is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Clinton; one daughter: Kimberly (Randeep) Ghai of Boston, Massachusetts, and two grandchildren: Surya and Sasha Ghai. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
