Karen A. Carlson age 66 of Clinton passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center North. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 23rd at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Karen was born on March 21, 1949 in Clinton, the daughter of Glenn and Doris (Peters) Carlson. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1968. She worked at A.C. Nielson for 22 years and later at PFC. She is a member of First United Methodist Church. Karen absolutely enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and she had a love of animals.

Karen is survived by her mother Doris Carlson of Clinton; a brother Richard Carlson of Waverly, IA; a sister Rita (Craig) Dinsdale of Byron, MN; six nieces and nephews, Stacey Parks, Adrien Kessler, Amanda Taylor, Jaime Miller, Calvin Dinsdale and Chelsea Dinsdale; and seven great nieces and nephews.
