Walter McConohy, 95, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Amber Ridge Assisted Living, DeWitt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Villa Nova, with Father Stack officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
Visitation was at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, where the Rosary was prayed at 7 p.m.
Thomas Walter McConohy was born March 1, 1909, to Thomas and Agnes Burke McConohy in Clinton County.
He married Dorothy Quackenbush Sept. 26, 1922, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clinton. She died Oct. 7, 1994.
Walter farmed in the DeWitt area.
Surviving are daughters, LaVonne Falconiere of Austin, Texas, and Joan Magee of LaGrange, Ill.; sons, Dale of DeWitt, Doug of Fort Smith, Ark., Dan of Los Angeles, Calif., and Joe of Menominee, Wis.; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by four sisters.
