Jay W. Pelham, 94, retired farmer, died Friday evening at West Wing Place after a week's illness.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the McGinnis Funeral Home, Dewitt. The Rev. Glenn Hull, Clinton Church of Christ, where Mr. Pelham was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Pelham was born in rural DeWitt, Sept. 27, 1879 to Henry and Margaret Dawson Pelham. He married Belle Striley Blinkinsop Jan. 13, 1915, in Clinton. The couple farmed east of DeWitt on the farm Pelham was born on. Survivors include a son Henry of DeWitt.

His wife, three step-children; three brothers, and two half-sisters preceded him in death.
